Job Description: ICI Services is an Employee-Owned Company providing Engineering & Integration, Systems Acquisition, Information Warfare, and In-Service Sustainment support to government customers. We are seeking a Senior Naval Engineer / Marine Engineer to support our Navy customer in Washington, DC. The ideal Candidate must have experience with commercial shipbuilding programs such as the American Bureau shipping Standards, Military Sealift command shipbuilding programs, or US Coast Guard Ship building programs. Experience in ship design, HM&E processes, 3D Modeling, and piping design is preferred. The candidate must hold an engineering degree in engineering with Naval or Marine engineering preferred. This position will be onsite at a ship design site or the Washington Navy Yard. Security Clearance: Applicant must be eligible to hold an active Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET personnel security clearance. Position/Job Description: General Tasking Description: Provide engineering/technical support for concept studies; feasibility studies; preliminary design activities; contract design activities; detail design and construction activities; independent design reviews. In-service ship design and engineering activities; shipboard installation support; and special studies related to ships/boats/craft, ship systems and/or shipboard equipment. Provide engineering/technical support for shipboard systems such as Marine Diesel, Naval/Marine Equipment Auxiliary, Navy Main Propulsion Systems, Sea Water systems, cooling water, Fresh Water, Compressed Air System, Electrical Generation, & Ship Services Diesel Generator (SSDG). Provide naval architecture, marine engineering, electrical engineering and in-depth engineering support for the Hull, Mechanical & Electrical (HM Command, Control, Communications, Computers & Intelligence (C4I); and mission equipment and systems installed aboard ships, boats, craft and targets, including Combat Logistics Force (CLF), Special Mission Ships, and FMS assets. The employee shall perform research and work along with USCG, ABS, and other key stakeholders, such as the Military Sealift Command (MSC). Experience Requirements: 15 years program management, Government technical management, or Industry business management. Experience in Commercial Ship Building programs, Military Sealift Command Shipbuilding programs, or Coast Guard ship building programs is required. Experience with Marine Diesel, Naval/Marine Equipment Auxiliary, Navy Main propulsion systems, HM&E, and/or Ship services diesel generator (SSDG). Familiarization in Ship Design Principles 7 years in DoD/DoN program management DoD/DoN procedures and Policies (DoD 5000 process); DoD/DoN contracting; experience communicating with SES/Flag level personnel; supervisory; ship building experience; Military Sealift Command procedures and processes. Educational & Certification Requirements: Bachelor's degree in engineering or business management Discipline. Master's degree in engineering or business management Discipline Preferred. Professional Engineering Certification Preferred. Project Management Professional (PMP) for 5 years. Project Management Professional (PMP) for 15 years.
